  • **If the student has 12 or more graded credit hours from a regionally accredited college or a KCTCS college, then this GPA is used for awarding points. If not, then high school GPA or GED is used. Remedial or developmental coursework is not included in graded credit hours.
  • Points will be awarded to students who have completed BIO 137, Anatomy and Physiology I with at least a grade of B. Six points will be awarded for an A; three points will be awarded for a B. Students may earn a maximum of six (6) points in this area.
  • Five points will be awarded to those applicants who are Kentucky residents.
  • Points will be awarded for observation/experience in a physical therapy department. Two (2) points will be awarded for 16 observation/experience hours; four (4) points will be awarded for 24 observation/experience hours. Students may earn a maximum of four (4) points in this area.
  • In the event of a tie in the total number points, the GPA used to determine points for admission will be rank ordered to determine admission to the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Students admitted into the PTA program must have a minimum KCTCS GPA of 2.0 or higher.
