Deborah Smith is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's degree in Health Studies. She is a registered radiologic technologist with certification in radiography and mammography.

Deborah is currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Career Education at Murray State University. She was employed at Lourdes Hospital as Assistant Technical Director of Radiology prior to joining the faculty at West Kentucky Community & Technical College in 1985.
